The World Rally Championship (FIA World Rally Championship) has formally announced the calendar for the 2026 season, consisting of 14 events distributed globally from January to November. Among these, as the fifth event of the year, is the 50th Rally Islas Canarias – Rally of Spain, scheduled to take place from April 23 to 26, 2026.
For the second consecutive year, the Rally Islas Canarias – Rally of Spain event will be part of the WRC, marking a particularly significant edition: the 50th, a celebration of the golden anniversary of one of the Canary Islands most iconic sporting events and of national motorsport.

“We now have the official date for such an important edition as the 50th Rally Islas Canarias – Rally of Spain. It is an occasion filled with emotion due to its significance for the history of Canary sports and national motorsport. We are discussing the most important event in this specialty in our country, and we are working with utmost enthusiasm to ensure it lives up to the anniversary we are celebrating”.
The 50th Rally Islas Canarias – Rally of Spain will also serve as the second event entirely on asphalt within the world championship schedule, solidifying its status as an international benchmark for this surface. The event will once again transform the Canary Islands into the epicenter of global motorsport, with a focus on a historic edition celebrated both for its symbolic significance and its sporting value.
