Club Deportivo Todo Sport has already made the itinerary of the next edition of this international event, a route that will visit the municipalities of Guía, Valsequillo, San Mateo, Artenara, Tejeda, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Valleseco, Gáldar, Moya y Arucas. The teams will face around 200 kilometes of special stages.

A little more than 120 days to celebrate, the Rally Islas Canarias machinery begins to accelerate their speed. With the arrival of the new year, the Club Deportivo Todo Sport is in a position to publish the first details of the route of this event that, once again, is included in the FIA European Rally Championship. It will celebrate from May 7 to 9 as the second round of the continental calendar.

In its commitment to the island of Gran Canaria, and as the Organizing Committee communicated it a few months ago, the 44 Rally Islas Canarias will support with its passage those municipalities that were affected by the serious bushfire that occurred last August. “The commitment of the event with the Canarian society is very important and we could not be oblivious to the pain we all suffered last summer; Therefore, we want the passage of the rally through these different points to help revitalize the economy of those affected areas”, explains Germán Morales, president of the Organizing Committee. "Although it is still too early to reveal specific details of the special stages, in this first step we show the backbone of the itinerary of the next edition, a 2020 in which we will be surrounded by a ten municipalities that see in this rally a showcase towards the outside”, he adds. Thus, the action will begin on Thursday, May 7 with the Free Practice and the Qualifying Stage, a 3.45 km route that this year will be transferred to the municipality of Guía. Another novelty is that the start of this day is scheduled for 12:15 h. That day will culminate with the always massive start ceremony, which will be held one more edition in the Parque Santa Catalina of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from 20:30 h.

The first leg has nine special stages and a total of 99.81 timed kilometers. 'Valsequillo' (11.91 km), 'San Mateo-DISA' (12.01 km), 'Artenara' (12.27 km) and 'Tejeda' (12.95 km), each of them twice, and 'Las Palmas de Gran Canaria-DISA' (1.53 km), make up the journey of that day. Precisely, the urban special will present some modifications compared to recent years, shortening its route and suppressing the large roundabout. As it has been happening during the last editions, the final leg of Saturday May 9 is longer than the inaugural one, when presenting 102.52 kilometers against the clock. 'Valleseco-DISA' (14.17 km), 'Gáldar' (12.59 km), 'Moya' (12.70 km) and 'Arucas' (11.80 km) - the second pass through the latter will be TC Plus-, end up shaping the 44 Rally Islas Canarias.

Thus, the twon halls of Guía, Valsequillo, San Mateo, Artenara, Tejeda, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Valleseco, Gáldar, Moya and Arucas, underline their firm commitment to a consolidated event in the FIA European Rally Championship and in the Spanish Rally Championship.
