The Tuesday Test in Artenara, focus of attention

Around 40 teams will work tomorrow in the official tests of the 48 Rally Islas Canarias that will take place this Tuesday, April 30. As in recent years, Artenara will host the bulk of the teams that will finalize details just a few days before the start of the Gran Canaria test. That same day, at night, will the recce of 'Las Palmas de Gran Canaria' the super special stage.

The big week of the Rally Islas Canarias has started and there is no stopping it until next Saturday, May 4. One of the highlights, those that are marked in red before the curtain rises, is the official test day, the so-called Tuesday Test.

Once again, Artenara will host the vast majority of teams that will spend hours and hours working in the set-up of their vehicles. In 2024 there will be around 40, an important number that also brings together some of the main favorites for victory.

On the one hand, Yoann Bonato, winner of the last edition, will be present with his Citroën C3 Rally2. Mads Ostberg, with a similar car, will also be riding in Artenara, as will Efrén Llarena, European champion in 2022. Mathieu Franceschi and Miklós Csomós, with Skoda Fabias similar to that of the Spanish driver, did not want to miss this important day of testing either.

Recce of TC1
It is worth remembering that this Tuesday, April 30, from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., the teams will be the recce of the first special stage of the 48 Rally Islas Canarias, the super special called 'Las Palmas de Gran Canaria'.

This year it presents some new features that will be focused inside the Gran Canaria Arena, a stage where 8,000 fans will be able to enjoy from their seats a show that has already caused a sensation in 2023. Needless to say, the tickets were sold out after two and a half hours.
