Marczyk, with number one in the 45 Rally Islas Canarias

For the third time in history, a Polish driver will have that number on the entry list of Rally Islas Canarias. Together with Efrén Llarena, who will have the two, they will focus the battle for the runner-up in the FIA ERC. Finally there will be 72 teams that will take the game, with the presence of the public, on Thursday, November 18 from the Gran Canaria Arena.

The 45 Rally Islas Canarias has made public the official entry list, a list of participants with whom the FIA European Rally Championship will close the 2021 season. Finally, there have been 72 teams that appear in it, precisely those that the Thursday, November 18, from 8:30 p.m., they will parade through the podium installed inside the Gran Canaria Arena, an act in which the great protagonists will once again be the fans.

Miko Marczyk and Efrén Llarena will be number one and two, respectively, in two Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo. The Polish and Spanish, both 26 years old, will bid for the continental runner-up, once Andreas Mikkelsen, absent in this edition, has already been crowned champion. Both are opting for an absolute victory which would be, at the same time, their first victory in the FIA ERC.

One of the great stars of this edition knows a lot about that. Alexey Lukyanuk, a three-time winner in Gran Canaria knows, like no one else, how to manage a race of this type with around 200 km over 17 special stages. The Russian repeats, for the third consecutive year, with a Citroën C3 Rally2.

Nil Solans and Yoann Bonato already saw each other in last year's edition. The Spanish came to lead that year and the French finished it as the second best classified. With Hyundai and Citroën, respectively, they have all the tickets for success. In this section we must add the fast Italian Simone Campedelli, who is visiting this rally for the first time.

As part of their European program, Luis Vilariño (Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo) and Iván Ares (Hyundai i20 R5) - third last year - will close their international projects with the 45 Rally Islas Canarias. The Spanish accent is accentuated by Jan Solans (Citroën C3 Rally2) and Surhayén Pernía (Hyundai i20 R5). The first of them disputes this test for the second time, while the second arrives on the island after his recent victory in the last test of the S-CER, a contest for which this event is one of the most outstanding.

The canaries, with turn to speak
Luis Monzón with Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, Enrique Cruz on the usual Ford Fiesta Rally2 and Yeray Lemes debuting with the new Hyundai i20 N Rally2, will once again be the focus of the fans' attention. This group is joined by Emma Falcón, the former ERC Ladies Trophy champion repeats for the third consecutive year with her Citroën.

Albert von Thurn und Taxis (Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo), Jaroslaw Koltun (Ford Fiesta R5), Juan Carlos Alonso (Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo) and Daniel Chwist (Volkswagen Polo GTI R5), complete the list of Rally2 vehicles registered in ERC1.

Ken Torn, with a Ford Fiesta Rally3 unprecedented in the Canary Islands, will give way to the ERC2s of Javier Pardo, Dmitry Feofanov and Joan Vinyes, all of them with Suzuki, the Skoda of Tibor Érdi Jr and Serhil Potiiko, as well as the Fiat 124 Abarth by Dariusz Polonski and Carlos David García, who will fight for victory in the Abarth Rally Cup.

ERC3, very interesting
Peugeot, Ford and Renault are protagonists in this section. With drivers of Jean-Baptiste Franceschi, Pep Bassas or Sami Pajari, among others, the emotion is served. A window that will have a Canarian presence, with Zósimo Hernández registered in this category of the competition, like Jorge Cagiao or the already usual Ekaterina Stratieva.
